Meg joined the Cai Lab as Lab Manager in July 2026. She completed her MSci in Biology at the University of Manchester in 2019, working on soil ecology, fauna, and land management. She went on to hold technical roles in Soil Ecology and Plant Physiology labs at the university, providing technical support on research projects, as well as acting as lab manager. She is passionate about improving lab sustainability and maintaining safe and inclusive work environments.

In her spare time, Meg enjoys working in her allotment, roller derby, reading sci-fi and fantasy, and going on hikes where she can forage and look for fungi to ID.
